Vegan Koya Tofu Karaage with Soy sauce Flavor

Koya Tofu is filling enough without chicken!

Ingredients ( 2 servings)

  • Koya Tofu (Diced) : 6 pieces
  • [A] Water: 40g/ Soy sauce: 9g/ Sugar: 4g/ Grated ginger: 4g/ Grated garlic: 2g
  • Potato starch: as needed
  • Frying oil: as needed

How to cook

  1. In a bowl, mix [A]. Add the Koya Tofu and let it sit for about 5minutes, turning occasionally so all sides absorb the seasoning.
  2. Coat each piece of Koya Tofu evenly with potato starch.
  3. Deep-fry in 180°C oil for about 3 minutes, until crispy and golden brown.
    *If using an Air fryer, mix potato starch and flour in equal parts instead of using only potato starch.
